Fear of death enslaves us and the devil has the power of death. Fear God instead who can kill not just the body but also the soul. Once you realise the devil has no power over your soul when you accept Jesus Christ, the fear of the devil is gone. If God is for you, who can be against you and you will not be afraid. Greater is He that is in you than he that is in the world. Be bold and courageous because the Lord goes before you. He will be with you. He will not fail you or forsake you. Do not fear or be dismayed.

"Therefore, since the children share in flesh and blood, he likewise shared in their humanity, so that through death he could destroy the one who holds the power of death (that is, the devil),  and set free those who were held in slavery all their lives by their fear of death." (Hebrews 3:14-15)

"Do not be afraid of those who kill the body but cannot kill the soul. Instead, fear the one who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell." (Matthew 10:28)

"What then shall we say about these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?" (Romans 8:31)
