Blessed is the man that walketh not in the counsel of the ungodly,
nor standeth in the way of sinners,
nor sitteth in the seat of the scornful. (Psalm 1:1)
What does this mean in practice and how can you receive this blessing? Do not follow the advice of the wicked (following is walking). Do not stand in the lifestyle of sinners (way is lifestyle). Do not join in with those who hate correction, are arrogant, and want conflict. What you are left with is to follow the advice of the godly, the lifestyle of the righteous, and join in with those who are wise, peaceful, and humble.
